We have partnered with [Cytora](https://www.cytora.com/), the digital risk processing platform used by commercial insurers across the globe.

Through this collaboration, our address validation data is now embedded directly into Cytora's risk ingestion workflow. Underwriters and their teams can access verified, precise location data at the point of processing, without any additional steps or manual checking.

 

## Data Accuracy in Commercial Insurance 

Property data in commercial insurance is only as useful as it is accurate. When a risk submission arrives, the address details within it may have been manually entered, reformatted, or carried across from an older system. Errors and inconsistencies are common, and they can quietly affect decisions throughout the policy lifecycle, from initial pricing through to claims and portfolio management.

Knowing precisely which building is being assessed is vital. A postcode or street address can cover a large area or multiple properties. Without a reliable way to pinpoint the exact location, insurers are making decisions based on data that leaves room for doubt.

 

## What the Partnership Delivers 

Our data is now part of Cytora's ingestion and digitisation workflow, enriching property addresses. This includes:

- **Unique Property Reference Numbers (UPRN)**, which identifies a [unique property](https://ideal-postcodes.co.uk/uprn) at the individual building level, removing ambiguity about which location is being assessed
- **Rooftop Geocodes**, which provide precise [latitude and longitude](https://ideal-postcodes.co.uk/geocoding) coordinates at rooftop level, rather than approximating to a street or postcode area
- **Fuzzy matching**, which [catches and corrects common address errors](https://ideal-postcodes.co.uk/guides/fuzzy-matching) during ingestion, so teams are not working from inaccurate records

## Benefits Across Insurance Workflows 

Cleaner address data has an impact across more than just underwriting.

For risk selection and pricing, rooftop-level geocoding makes it possible to assess a building's exposure to flood, subsidence, or other location-specific risks with much greater confidence than postcode-level data allows.
