At Ideal Postcodes, we believe in building a workplace where every individual can thrive. That’s why we’re proud to share that we have joined Neurodiversity in Business (NiB), a charity and community working to improve the working lives of neurodivergent people and remove the barriers that still exist across UK workplaces.

Why Neurodiversity Matters

There is still a significant gap between talent and opportunity. According to NiB:

  • Only 16% of autistic adults are in full-time paid employment

  • 45% of neurodivergent people have left or lost a job due to being misunderstood in the workplace

These numbers show how much potential is being overlooked. And yet, businesses increasingly recognise that teams made up of different thinking styles are often more creative, more adaptable, and better at solving complex problems.

For us, this is a cause we genuinely care about. Neurodiversity touches every part of society, and the challenges many people still face shouldn’t exist in 2025.

Why We Joined NiB

NiB brings together organisations across the UK to share best practice and improve workplace inclusion. Their mission is to help businesses unlock the contribution of the 15–20% of the UK population who are neurodivergent.

What stood out to us is that NiB is a community of businesses who want to turn awareness into action, rethink how they support neurodivergent colleagues, and build cultures where everyone can succeed. It also helps ensure neurodivergent individuals have a stronger voice in shaping their working environments.

“The stats make it clear how much talent is still being missed. Joining NiB feels like a natural step as we work to strengthen our teams, culture, and continue delivering value to customers and partners. We’re excited for the work ahead, and we’re proud to join a community that is championing such an important cause.”
